After a customer brought to our attention that there was a weakness in a seam of our clothing we have investigated further and noticed that this is a flaw in one of our machines the seams appear to be fine but when tension is placed on them they are not the strong seams we are used to. Unfortunately, this is an issue with our machine that went undetected until recently. These machines were recently serviced in preparation for our busiest time of the year and thus any product purchased from us recently could be affected. Please reach out to us if you have ANY product-related issues with anything you have purchased from us. We want to assure you this is not a reflection of our company and we are doing everything in our power to ensure we can rectify this issue promptly and are working to ensure this does not happen in the future. About Us
We are a mom daughter duo who loves to spend time together so building a small business together seemed like the perfect adventure. Genetic Threads is about as family owned and run as you can get; we get our family involved in all aspects of the business from creating our market displays to helping us choose colour combinations for our creations.
Genetic Threads was created when we found out a close family friend was expecting a baby. I suggested that with moms’ years of sewing experience and her sewing talent we should try to make an outfit for the new baby. Making the outfit together gave us such joy and we knew we wanted to make more. We then set out to find unique, quality, and Canadian fabrics to create simple, versatile, and affordable baby clothing and accessories. Now mom takes care of the sewing and I manage our social media platforms helping out with fabric selection and cutting whenever possible.

Useful information about delivery and shipping
You can purchase your items online and we can arrange a FREE meet-up at a convenient location for both of us anywhere between Liverpool and Lower Sackville.
Shipping is all done through Canada Post, please note we only send packages using tracking so you can track your order and know when to expect it (shipping cost is $18.00).
Please note while we do have some inventory some orders will need to be made before they can ship. We try to have orders ready for delivery within 7-10 days of receiving the order but please be patient. On any of our launches, there may be specific turnaround times, please be sure you check this and are comfortable with it before purchasing. Meet-up times vary depending on your address, the availability of your items, and the time of the day you place your order.
